I built a simple brick lined bread oven in 2011, based on Alan Scotts designs for a New England Bread Oven.
When we decided to build an oak framed garden room and outside kitchen in 2016 ,I had a choice between building a new oven from the Scott design or buying an oven from a long established manufacturer. After visiting Paul Merry in Shaftesbury, I decided to buy a Le Panyol oven from him to be assembled at home and incorporated into a new standalone building.
Looking back I am very pleased I decided to do this. The new oven retains heat far better than my home built oven and the quality of bread and pizza I can make has improved no end.
The oven is also used for many more types of cookery beyond bread and pizza. Paul was very helpful and knowledgeable – I have no hesitation in recommending him and the Lepanyol ovens wholeheartedly.
I ordered a Panyol oven in September 2018 from PANARY. Paul was very helpful guiding me through the choice of accessories, I knew ‘Le Panyol’ oven from a previous course with Paul . After the deposit was paid the oven arrived on a pallet from France within 2 to 3 weeks.
I have known Paul Merry for quite a few years and would recommend his services to anyone who wants to know more about bread making or wood fired ovens.
